Get Serious About Your Personal Development, then E X E C U T E!

I spent the better part of 2 days last week in the company of some of the brightest minds in my industry. I spent nearly every waking hour working with people who are making a difference in other peoples lives. One person at a time. Our business is the Network Marketing or Multi-level Marketing industry.

Now before you touch your mouse to leave this page, think of this:

Success Magazine, founded over 100 years ago, states about itself: "SUCCESS magazine is designed specifically to serve the growing entrepreneur, the home-based and small-business markets.

Suze Orman, Financial Adivsor, whom Time magazine calls "one of the world's most influential people," says this: "A home-based business is an incredible way - without riking any money so to speak, to...create an independent income stream."

Robert Kiyosaki, author of the Rich Dad series calls it simply "the business of the 21st century."

The network marketing/direct selling industry is a $30 billion industry in the United States alone, see more impressive data here: Direct Selling 411

By joining yourself to a network marketing/direct selling company, you are aligning yourself with opportunity.

The overarching theme of the conference I attended was this: We are, as an industry, in the personal development business.

Nowhere else have I seen so many training and development programs offered to "non-employees" as I have in this industry. No where! If you want to improve, and I believe we all do, then this is the place and now is the time.

Some of the talent we hear from around the industry includes Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, John Maxwell, Jim Collins, Denis Waitley, Dave Ramsey, Joel Osteen, the late and great Jim Rohn and many, many more. For years I have heard the statement from franchises, and the like, that you are "in business for yourself, but not by yourself!" The DSA and its member companies literally put their money where their mouth is. They walk this talk.

Start for a little, leave with a lot. By small things are great things accomplished!

In this industry as with any other it requires desire, commitment, sacrifice and action. It is not a "get rich quick" scheme, it is a "get rich slow and steady." Joining yourself to the right company is the critical success factor. There are many companies to choose from and they are as widely different as apples and oranges, but the truly great companies have several things in common. It is the execution of these commonalities that makes the difference. Just as the best team and the worst basketball teams have the same salary cap, the same number of available players, the same size basketball and hoop, etc. It comes down to execution. Execution = Action!

Things to look for, in my estimation, are these, although this is just a partial list:
  • Integrity & Trust
  • Training & Support
  • Financial Strength
  • Corporate Leadership
  • Product(s)
Each of these need to be explored. You need to be comfortable with these and more. You need to be comfortable because you are going to be putting your reputation on the line each and every time you introduce someone to your new endeavor. You ARE the company to that person, so the more you know, the greater your comfort, the better your execution.

That's where our industry shines...we can teach you how to execute! Once you are committed...take action.

A committed person on fire is U N S T O P P A B L E !

Let's Get Committed Together, It's time to Get Serious About Your Personal Development!
